Is there still a need for the press in today’s world? The transformations we’re experiencing, with the ability to find news on different platforms, are undoubtedly changing how people get informed. But precisely because so many tools exist, the role of journalism holds even greater value, even in a specific field like the one Corriere del Vino operates in.
We like to give space to businesses, offering full openness to company press releases and valuing the important role of press offices. But we’re also the ones who go exploring wines and wineries, dishes and restaurants, to share our impressions. That’s why I felt the urge to create this space, where I can share my thoughts on a world I’ve been involved with for 25 years now.
It’s a passionate and curious perspective, stemming from the awareness that there’s still so much to say about this wine universe, often overlooked and, lately, even unfairly attacked and accused.
An open editorial, almost a letter to our readers, at a time when we’ve also decided to begin translating our articles into English. This move aims to make us spokespeople for our country and its products to the world, first and foremost.
But the news doesn’t stop there: our YouTube channel will also be launching soon. A small “TV station” where we’ll continue to share what, to us, is the wonderful world of food and wine.
